Dar es Salaam, Tanzania:
The Vice President, Dr. Philip Mpango has urged Christians and Tanzanians to give special respect to children because they are a great gift from God.
Dr. Mpango said this today, Sunday, December 25, 2022, when he participated in the Christmas mass at Christ the King Parish in Veyula, Dodoma region.
Dr. Mpango has said that right now in the country there are rumors of abuse and injustice against children, including children being abused, killed and raped.
“Let’s ask God for forgiveness and grant us the grace to recognize how he loved the children and let us do a lot to take care of these children and return them to God while they are white as we keep the symbol of a white cloth to return to God,” said the Vice President.
In another step, Dr Mpango has asked the believers to rejoice in God for the rain he brought and explained that in other places there has been a difficult situation of drought which caused livestock to start dying.
“Now Allah has brought us the grace of rain, let us use it well, let us plant our crops now, let us plant so that we can get food.
“Also, every family should use the space to plant trees, plant fruit trees, plant shade trees, each family at least three trees, two fruit trees and one for shade because our country is very damaged,” he said.
